Designed and furnished to take all comforts into consideration, the glass-fronted patio doors lead to the patio area and make the most of the outstanding views. You can enjoy the changing skies, tides coming and going and an abundance of birdlife from the comfort of the lounge/dining room.
The area has so much to offer for the outdoor enthusiast; The Sound of Arisaig is one of the world’s top destinations for sea-kayaking. It's countless islands and skerries offer a wealth of hidden places to explore and are also home to an abundance of marine wildlife including seals, otters, dolphins, porpoises and occasionally minke whales and basking sharks. Traigh Golf Course is close by, a 9-hole golf course which is the most westerly golf course on the UK mainland, and it enjoys the most dramatic scenery.
Boat trips from Arisaig and Mallaig take you out to Eigg, Rum, Muck, Canna, and Knoydart and are great places for wildlife and whale spotting. The property is an excellent base for days out down to Glenfinnan, Ardnamurchan Peninsula, Isle of Skye, Knoydart and Fort William, home to the Jacobite Steam Train, which was made famous in the Harry Potter films. There is so much more to see, so come, explore and enjoy, as Croft Cottage offers a truly memorable holiday experience.
Loch Morar is situated half a mile from the white sands of Morar. The Loch offers some excellent fishing along its 18.8km length. Reaching a depth of 310m is the deepest body of freshwater in Britain and the third deepest in Europe. Loch Morar is set amongst some magnificent scenery.
The area around the loch is a walkers’ paradise. The surrounding hills, although not of the Munro or Corbett heights, offer magnificent views stretching as far as Ben Nevis in the east to the magnificent Cuillins and further to the Hebrides in the west.
